New comp, new area, same zone

Wow alright, what a week I've had! So much happened it was crazy. Of
course, it is the last week of the transfer as well. Speaking of which
I'm transferred again! Not too far, just literally down the road about
15 minutes to a place called Dumfries, "The oldest town in Virginia!".
I will be Companions with Elder Malmstrom of Centerville UT. Theres a
lot of work set into place by an absolute work horse Elder Oldham who
goes home. I'm excited to get down there and see what's up! But
anyways let's talk about this week.

Pues, Tuesday we had two miracles in one day! First, our monthly card
didn't get refilled, so we're short on food this week haha. So we were
about to leave the house to catch a bus (both a tender mercy & a wild
experience) for a lesson when a member shows up and she's got her
whole trunk full of groceries!! I was speechless! So we went down to
Dumfries (my new area) to do work with Elder Malmstrom (my new comp)
because his comp was on the temple trip. We taught the family of the
little girl they're going to baptize. She's the cutest little girl! So
are her brother and sister, they're hilarious! I was playing around
with them waiting for dinner from the mom, and the one kid said I look
25:( then he said I just look like a meanie and John Cena hahaha I
don't know what I did to this kid haha. Then Elder Oldham got home so
we went back to our area. The second miracle- it was 8:58 and we
decide to knock one more door, that didn't answer. So we're walking
away and this guy comes up and says he wants to meet with us and he
wants to leave his Christian church! Just out of nowhere! God
provides. That's a fact.

Wednesday we decided our numbers last week and this week suck, so we
went on member splits and put in work. We got 8 lessons with a member
present! We did run into a lady who is inactive because she "did her
research". She said she was her own god? Other than that we taught SO
many good people!

Thursday we did service again until about 12:00. After that we just
headed out and knocked. It was one of those days that I could have
knocked a thousand doors, and no one would have answered. Actually I'm
pretty sure that's what happened.

Friday we had zone meeting, that was pretty good. The senior couple,
and two elders who are going home bared their testimonies and the
spirit was so strong there. I always just get super pumped to go and
do work during those, I can't tell if it's because of boredom or if I
actually feel motivated. After that we went to work and got dumped on
again by surprise, then the sauna effect when the sun comes back out.
I feel like I'm going to die when that happens. It's so hot. But we
had the SICKEST lesson with Brian! I know it was because he was
crying. That's always a good sign! It was honestly one the most
spiritually strong lessons I've ever had.

Saturday we did even more service for the same guy we did it for last week.
Helped him move his yard sell from 6:00 AM until 1:00.. I was ticked.
He's just like taking advantage of us at this point. We finally got
out to work when a member said they wanted to pick us up and go and
eat. We were standing out side this Latino market just talking to
people, waiting for him to meet us there; and we started talking to
this lady and she said that she's actually a member! She said she's
had some struggles and stopped going and she doesn't feel ready to go
back. All we could do was bare testimony that God loves everyone of
his children, and he wants her back. After that we spent about 3 hours
walking around trying to see people who said to come back on weekends
and stuff, but no one could meet. Then we went to another Baptismal
service and Brian came! He said he felt the spirit when she went under
the water and everything! After the Baptism I was talking to the
little girl and her brother again. She asked me if I was being a good
boy? Then the Brother said "I change my mind! You look like the guy in
movies who is mean to everyone! Like in Greece!" Hahahahha I don't
know what I did to this kid or why he says this stuff hahaha.
Sunday Brian and Chewy came to church!! They loved it! I'm so excited
for them and their progression! Sunday we spent the day seeing members
that Elder Barnes wanted to say bye to. We did finish up with some
tacos de lengua at Franciscos. They were sooo good!

Well that was my week this last week here in Potomac River C of the
Woodbridge zone, of the Virginia Richmond Mission.
Here is some weekly inspired scriptures for y'all. Hopefully once
again someone on this email list will receive a spiritual experience
from these scriptures and words.

Mosiah 5:15, 6:6.. 15: Therefore, I would that ye should be steadfast
and immovable, always abounding in good works, that Christ, the Lord
God Omnipotent, may seal you his, that you may be brought to heaven,
that ye may have everlasting salvation and eternal life, through the
wisdom, and power, and justice, and mercy of him who created all
things, in heaven and in earth, who is God above all. Amen.
6 And it came to pass that king Mosiah did walk in the ways of the
Lord, and did observe his judgments and his statutes, and did keep his
commandments in all things whatsoever he commanded him.

Also D&C 6:34,36: 34 Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let
earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock,
they cannot prevail.
36 Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not.

Are you Immovable? Do you let Earth and Hell combine against you, and
trust in the Lord our Savior? Are you always striving to do good
works? Can you yourself replace the name "King Mosiah" in verse 6 and
put yours in that place?
If not, I challenge you to do so as I challenge myself to do so. I
challenge you to seek relief and comfort. It's a funny world we live
in where sometimes we have to be challenged to seek glory and
greatness. Pray for Missionary opportunities. Until next week. I love
you all so much. You'll never know how much every one of you has
helped me in my life.
